It's a bittersweet road that we parents travel and this course gives us the possibilities to create an emotional climate that encourages children to cooperate and use respectful communication. As a parent and a therapist, it aided me to put an end to talks that wound the child's spirit and use tools that nourish their self-worth. The trainers' emphasis on practicing the skills and resisting the temptation of skipping over them helped me realize that the discipline of putting the skills into action and assessing my learning helped me assimilate the skills and put them where they belong - inside me.
