Trainer Information:
Casey O'Roarty, is a personal growth and development junkie, dance floor burner, parent coach, positive discipline trainer, and the adolescent LEAD at BeSproutable.com. For the last 15 years, her work has encouraged parents to discover the purpose of their journey, and provided them with tools and a shift of mindset that has allowed them to deepen their relationship with themselves and their families. With just over a million downloads, her podcast, Joyful Courage, supports parents each and every week with relevant topics and raw storytelling for parents raising tweens and teens. She also offers parenting summits, classes, a membership for parents of teens and online coaching. Her book, Joyful Courage: Calming the Drama and Taking Control of YOUR Parenting Journey was published May 20th, 2019. Casey lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, and is proud to have launched her two young adults kids.
Julietta Skoog is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer with an Ed.S Degree in School Psychology and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Seattle University. She is the Early Years Lead and co-founder of Sproutable, which offers grown ups the tools, systems and strategies they need to cultivate powerful relationships, teach social-emotional skills, and set healthy limits and boundaries with all kids, from babies to teens. Her trauma-informed expertise includes early child development, autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, behavior disorders, Positive Discipline, Social Thinking, and mindfulness. Julietta has helped families for over 20 years, including running the preschool assessment team and working in many elementary schools as a school psychologist and counselor for Seattle Public Schools. She draws from her real life practical experience working with thousands of students with a variety of needs and her own three children when coaching parents, bringing a unique ability to translate research, child development and Positive Discipline principles into everyday solutions. Her popular keynote speeches, classes, and workshops have been described as rejuvenating, motivating, and inspiring.
Workshop Description:
This interactive on-line live and streamed video workshop is designed for parent educators, teachers, therapists, childcare professionals and others who want an effective discipline approach. This method is based on Adlerian Psychology and integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. Successful participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and will:
- Learn research based and effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive)
- Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert.
- Gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
- Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes, and individual work with families.

Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
