Taking the Positive Discipline in the Classroom course has been a truly transformative experience for me as an English teacher. I only wish I had discovered it sooner! The course provided a solid, research-backed framework that helped me better understand the why behind student behaviors and offered practical strategies to address them in a kind yet firm way.
Before this training, I often felt frustrated and unsure of how to handle certain behaviors, sometimes resorting to short-term solutions like detentions. This course taught me that students do better when they feel better, and now I approach discipline with a focus on encouragement and student ownership. The role-playing activities and real-life examples were especially valuable in helping me see situations from my students’ perspectives.
The tools provided—like the Mistaken Goal Chart and the Wheel of Choice—have given me a clear, structured way to foster responsibility and problem-solving in my classroom. Plus, the emphasis on patience and long-term growth was a refreshing reminder that meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight.
I’m leaving this course with not only new strategies but a completely new mindset. I feel more confident and prepared to create a positive, respectful learning environment where students feel empowered to succeed. I highly recommend this course to any educator looking to build stronger, more cooperative relationships with their students.

Thanks to this form I had the opportunity to participate in the Positive Discipline in the Classroom course. I could work at my own pace. After a while I felt like I was in a group with other teachers Jane and Lynn. In addition, the materials included with the DVD were helpful.

The training is awesome. Its interactive and experiential nature allowed me introduce positive discipline in the school where i work effectively. I would like to thank the trainers and the participants whom i consider to be trainers as well. A rich learning experience that is made easy to reproduce.
