originally sold as seven, 60 minute, cassette tapes.
Digitally re-mastered
for improved sound quality, this workshop is now available as

What a GREAT! workshop. We felt your workshop on
Positive Discipline/Empowering Teens and Yourself in the Process was
of great value. We continuously refer to your presentation. Parents
tell me they are putting into practice the things they learned from
you, and it is working!
I’ve run community education programs for over eight years and I
must say this is the first one that actually gives people the skills
and techniques to make changes. Your straightforward and
common-sense approach is enlightening in dealing with children of
all ages and family relationships.”

I own a copy of your book, Positive Discipline for Teenagers, which
I keep as my teenage bible. It has been a true blessing for me to
have, in so many ways.

| What a great, insightful book.
I just read Positive Discipline for Teenagers. What a great,
insightful book. I am working on being a kind and firm parent. I
truly believe that the theories set out in this book are good and
appropriate for teenagers after having gone down the road of
lectures, punishing, etc. I enjoyed your book and am now enjoying
your website. I truly believe that your book has helped me
tremendously. I am feeling better about parenting my teen already
even though it is only the beginning. I have removed myself from the
lecturing, punishing parent I used to be and have realized that I
must give up my control issues, and by doing that, I feel less
stressed and more in control of my life. A lot of parents with teens
could certainly benefit from implementing your ideas.

| The very best book I have ever
found on discipline "As a psychotherapist
and school social worker, I have frequently referred parents to
Positive Discipline for Teenagers by describing it as the very best
book I have ever found on discipline. Parents of teenagers are often
struggling to figure out their parental role as their children gain
more independence, test and push limits and boundaries and try on a
variety of roles themselves. Dr. Nelsen provides sound practical
strategies that are presented in a clear, encouraging and supportive
fashion. Sharing several stories of her own family, as well as her
wealth or professional experience, she brings intelligence,
empowerment, respect and humor to the topic of parenting teens in a
genuine way that parents will be able to connect with."
